Associate Professor Dr. Chaipong Pongpanich, Ph.D.
Chief Executive of Sasin Management Consulting
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chaipong Pongpanich is the Chief Executive of Sasin Management Consulting (SMC), which oversees the Sasin Japan Center and the Sasin China Business Excellence Center. He is also a core faculty member at the Sasin School of Management, Chulalongkorn University, specializing in strategy and operations.
With over 20 years of consulting experience, Dr. Chaipong has advised public and private sector organizations across various industries. His consulting portfolio includes major clients such as the National Economic and Social Development Council, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Industry, the Ministry of Culture, the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, PTT Group, the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand, Sekisui Chemical, and SCG Group. He delivers impactful solutions in business strategy, operational excellence, organizational restructuring, change management, supply chain optimization, and performance improvement.
Before joining Sasin, Dr. Chaipong was a research associate at the Institute for Manufacturing, University of Cambridge, where he collaborated with leading multinational companies across Europe and Asia on projects related to international plant location and manufacturing strategy. He subsequently worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company, focusing on industries and markets in Asia, particularly ASEAN.
Dr. Chaipong holds a Ph.D. in Manufacturing and Management from the University of Cambridge, an M.Eng. in Production Engineering from the Kyushu Institute of Technology, and a B.Eng. with first-class honors and a gold medal in Mechanical Engineering from Chulalongkorn University.
Mr. Thana Siriwallop
Project Director
Mr. Thana has over 33 years professional consulting experiences in organizational change strategy, risk and change program management, strategic planning, performance management and the balanced scorecard approach. He has extensive experience in providing marketing and corporate strategic advice to governmental and private sector clients throughout East Asia.
Prior to joining Sasin, Mr Thana was Project Director at Total Access Communication, Performance Management Program Chairman for the Institute for SMEs Development and Project Manager for PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting – East Asia Strategic Telecom & Entertainment Group.
He received a Bachelor of Political Science, major in Public Administration, from Chulalongkorn University and an MBA from Emporia State University, Kansas, USA.
Ms. Pruittiporn Nakornchai, CFA
Project Director
Ms. Pruittiporn has multi-faceted experience in strategic planning, performance management and executive compensation design and implementation.
Her specialization spans corporate and operational strategy, demand analysis, business planning and valuation, feasibility studies and synergy evaluation. Her consulting clients have come for the public and private sectors as well as regulators in Thailand, East Asia, Europe and the Caribbean.
Before joining Sasin, Ms Pruittiporn was Head of Executive Compensation at Hewitt Associates, Thailand, SVP at Tisco Finance, Heading Corporate Planning and Budgeting, Investor Relations and Corporate Secretary.
Her career includes Equity Analysts and Economic Research Associate. She is a CFA charter holder (Chartered Financial Analyst, USA-2000). Miss Pruittiporn graduated from Thammasat University in Economics and completed her Masters of Arts in Economic Policy at Boston University.
Dr. Mayookapan Chaimankong, PCM
Project Director
Dr. Mayookapan has been a project manager in consulting areas including business research, strategy development, business plan creation, feasibility studies, strategy evaluation, performance management reviews, financial modeling, rating methodology and training curriculum design. He has also worked as a part-time MBA program lecturer at various institutions.
Prior to joining SMC, he was a senior manager at TRIS Corporation in the Advisory Service and Business Development Department.
Dr Mayookapan received his Bachelor of Engineering at Chiang Mai University, his Masters in Finance from the Australian School of Business, University of New South Wales and his DBA from Newcastle School of Business at The University of Newcastle, Australia.
Mr. Narun Leelamanit

Mr. Narun is a project director at Sasin Management Consulting. He has a various experience in leading and shaping the clients’ businesses with proven successful track record in providing the tailor-made implementable strategies and action plans to CEO/COO of multinational private companies in Fortune 100, Thai government organizations, and state owned enterprises (SOEs). Mr. Narun’s expertise includes corporate strategy, in-depth industry analysis, market sizing, new market entry strategy, growth opportunity analysis, and financial/business model.
Prior to joining Sasin, Mr. Narun worked as an financial advisor in Manhattan, New York City at one of top 5 largest investment banks, representing clients/corporations in EMEA market.
Mr. Narun received a Bachelor of Art in Economics, from Thammasat University, Master of Business Administration in International Business from Thunderbird The School Of Global Management, which ranked number 1 school in international business for MBA program in the USA and program focusing in public-private investment from Harvard-Kennedy School, Harvard University.
Mr.Sapol Laiwejpithaya, FRM
Project Manager
Sapol Laiwejpithaya, FRM is a project manager at Sasin Management Consulting with over a decade of experience advising government agencies, private sector organizations, and industry leaders on strategy, financial services, and public sector transformation. He brings a strong track record in business model innovation, performance improvement, and governance enhancement, with deep expertise in quantitative data analytics and financial modeling. Known for blending analytical rigor with strategic foresight, Sapol helps organizations turn complex challenges into data-driven, actionable solutions.
His project portfolio includes leading the development of a retail customer strategy for leading state-owned financial institutions, focusing on actionable customer insights to drive customer satisfaction, digital innovation and promote financial inclusion. He has also contributed to national-level strategic planning related to creative economy development, supporting multi-stakeholder collaboration and long-term policy design. Across engagements, he is recognized for aligning strategic objectives with measurable impact and sustainable outcomes.
Sapol holds a Master of Science in Accounting and Finance (with Distinction) from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration (First Class Honors) from Mahidol University International College. Mr. Naphanthanut Poungoomsin

Mr. Naphanthanut is a senior consultant at Sasin Management Consulting, specializing in developing growth strategies, digital transformation, and platform business development for leading companies in the technology and energy sectors. He also has significant experience in the Web3 and Blockchain business, bringing expertise in emerging technologies to his consulting projects.
Master's Degree in Investment Management from the University of Reading, UK, a Bachelor's Degree in Finance from Assumption University (where he was awarded a full scholarship), and a Bachelor's Degree in Laws from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. Prior to joining Sasin, he gained valuable experience in banking, working in the corporate finance department of a leading Thai bank as well as his role in a technology, Web3, and blockchain consulting firm.
Mr. Pattadon Leelasiri

Mr. Pattadon Leelasiri is a senior consultant with broad experience across strategic planning, market research, market strategy development, econometric modeling, and sustainability initiatives. His work spans both corporate and public sectors, helping organizations make data-driven decisions and build long-term strategic value.
Prior to joining SMC, he gained internship experience in the Global Markets Group at Krungthai Bank and at Bualuang Ventures, the corporate private equity and venture capital arm of Bangkok Bank.
Pattadon received a Bachelor of Economics (1st Class Honors) with a major in Monetary and Quantitative Economics from Chulalongkorn University, and an MBA from the Yale School of Management with a focus in Management Science.
Mr. Taro Seko
Senior Consultant
Mr. Seko has been advancing business development for Japanese governments and corporations through Sasin Japan Center (SJC), in collaboration with Prof. Takamasa Fujioka (former Executive Director and Head of MBA at Sasin School of Management, now Associate Dean of Meiji Professional Graduate School and Advisor/founder of SJC).
Recently, Mr. Seko has played a key role in organizing Japan-Thailand business matching events for municipalities like Kanagawa Prefecture and Kobe City. He has also partnered with Japanese government agencies (e.g., JETRO, JICA, JNTO, NEDO) to host seminars for Japanese expatriates on family businesses, co-creation value marketing, and addressing social challenges in Thailand through business. His work includes industrial research for Japanese institutions and market and competitor analyses for listed companies and SMEs.
His expertise spans industries such as food, renewable energy, housing, tourism, and automotive. A member of Japan Academy for Asian Market Economies, he is also the contact person for the Sasin-Mitsubishi Group MOU supporting startups in Southeast Asia. His academic credentials include BA, MA, and MBA earned in Kobe, Japan.
Mr. Nipat Tantisilapanon

Mr. Nipat has extensive consulting experience in corporate strategy, in-depth industry analysis, financial and business model development, and marketing research, utilizing both qualitative and quantitative approaches. His expertise supports the development of strategic frameworks and actionable insights for private and public sector clients in Thailand and across the ASEAN region.
Prior to joining Sasin Management Consulting, he held several roles in business development, strategy, and market research, where he successfully delivered high-impact projects, including feasibility studies, cost models, and IT system implementations to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
He received a Master of Science in Finance from Chulalongkorn University and a Bachelor of Laws from Thammasat University.

Grasic Smitasiri is a Consultant at Sasin Management Consulting. Mr. Than is a consultant at Sasin Management Consulting with experience in projects across various fields including strategy development, business plan creation, feasibility study, marketing strategy, risk and change management for clients of various sizes from public companies to small and medium enterprises from both the public and private sectors across Thailand.
Prior to joining Sasin Management Consulting, Mr. Than has worked in various industries including market research, media production, and social marketing in companies from both Thailand and overseas.
He received a Bachelor of Business Administration, major in Marketing, from Chulalongkorn University.
