Halal Tourism Focus Groups and Workshops

On May 8th 2019, Department of Tourism (DOT), Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Thailand, and Sasin Management Consulting (SMC) conducted a focus group discussion with Muslim entrepreneurs, imams, and involved tourism authorities on halal route planning. This project is an implementation phase of a strategy for Thailand to be the Muslim Friendly destination. The strategy was formulated by SMC for the Ministry, and subsequently had been approved by the National Tourism Policy Committee, chaired by His Excellency Dr. Somkid Jatusripitak, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, on August 2, 2018.
